I have windows 8.1 and wifi continuosly drops in it. It shows full signal on the internet icon present on task bar but internet does'nt work.I contacted HP they updated the BIOS and wifi drivers but the issue is still not fixed .They checked the hardware also and the hardware was also good.
I dont know what is the issue .It's really irritating to handle such issue with wifi in laptop.

Since yesterday I cannot connect to my laptop at all, I have done nothing to corrupt anything on there, just all of a sudden there is an X inside a red circle next clock on screen that says no connections available, also it seemed to be in airplane mode for some reason, don't know how this happened and have called my ISP and they cannot fix the problem, have tried turning off router twice and nothing happens, there is also an X in red circle on the sound icon as well, could someone please help me fix this problem? Thank you
I am able to see all networks but it wont get connected to my home network, It usually shows incorrect password error which is wrong because I use the same password on my other devices.
Sometimes it shows limited connection as error and disconnect on its own.
If I try to connect 15 times it gets connected for 1 time. If i disconnect it nevvvver gets connected again. This thing happen with most wifi network I try to connect so it is not a problem of my home network.
Please help. I would be greatful if you could suggest the best driver for me.

Hi I have installed eclips which is used for c++ developement. that application needs "minGw" compiler to be installed to run eclips, I am not being able to install minGw, it ends up throwing an error "Unble to continue!!", I searched a lot on internet , People say that application cant connect to internet so it cant continue, recently I installed Win7, Wifi is working absolutely fine but I belive 3rd party applications like minGw are not able to connect to internet, Is there any driver I need to install for that?

I recently purchased the above laptop and discovered the wireless card only operates on the 2.4GHz frequency. According to Windows Device Manager, the card is a Realtek RTL8188EE 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi Adapter. It also lists a Realtek PCIe FE Family Controller (for the Ethernet port?).
I'd like to replace the Wi-Fi card with a dual band card that can do both 2.4GHz and 5GHz. Can you please direct me to where I can find what card(s) will work with my laptop? (I found the Maintenance & Service Guide on your website, but it covers many different models and has lists of Wi-Fi cards in several different sections, so it's confusing as to what I actually need to buy for my laptop.)

When I use WIFI on my laptop it interfers with the rest of my network. For example, If I am watching netflix on my smart TV and then turn on the laptop netflix starts buffering and eventually stops all together. I'm not doing anything on the laptop except connecting.
I've got 20Mbs network and I've checked the throughput when this happens. It is usually around 12Mbs which should be enough to run netflix on my TV and allow my laptop to connect. I have seen this at multiple locations (my place and my parents place). We have different brands of wireless routers and different network providers (comcast and century-link).
I have updated all the drivers and looked through the event logs. The driver update didn't help and there is nothing in the logs.
So, anyone seen anything like this?
I thought i would be smart n redo my whole laptop..well not realizing it needs all the drivers reinstalled for my internet n stuff..so i called my son who is away n he said for me to go to the hp website n download the drivers i need n put them onto a thumb drive..but when i even go to the hp website all it has for my laptop is windows 7...i have windows 8?? any help with how i do any of this would be awesome...thnks!!!

The past few days I have had trouble with my wifi dropping, now all of a sudden my laptop is saying I have no wifi at all, wifi button is also showing orange now and wont change.
I went into network settings and the wireless adapter has vanished out of thin air!
I was told to reinstall the driver for this, but I am having trouble doing so as on here you can only get drivers for up to windows 8 and my laptop in windows 10.
Is there anyway else I can install a wireless driver to my laptop?

I just purchased a laptop for my daughter and we are trying to set it up. We selected our language (English), selected the keyboard (US) and tried to connect to our wireless network. We are using the correct password for our network but we keep getting a message that the network is out of range. I am using the wireless network on a different laptop so it is working fine.
I chatted with an HP rep that told me I could send it in for warranty service but it would take 5-7 days. I am not the best with technology and I thought there was something that I was missing but she seemed to think that there was a defect.
I bought it on amazon and I am debating about just returning unless someone has a suggestion...please help!
