getting a new service agreement
HI,
I work at a place with HP wireless access points and switch. they have not been updated in years and the firmware needs work as does the wifi connectivity around the site. can we get a mantanance agreement from HP to access firmware updates? is it worth it? the access points are arround 4 years old.

HP LT4120 Snapdragon X5 LTE Not Seeing Sim Number
Hi
We have HP Elitebooks 820 G3’s and we’ve just bought HP LT4120 Snapdragon X5 LTE, its showing in device managers under modems and networks adapters, but it’s not seeing the sim number, any suggestions? Have tried reinstalling and switching off Sophos virus software, but still not seeing the sims.

After upgrade to Windows10, aeroplane mode is getting ON automatically, unable to OFF that. If it is ON, I unable to connect WIFI.

HP ProBook 440 G2 is not connecting to sony bravia tv .
HP ProBook 440 G2 is not connecting to sony bravia TV through wifi.
Both laptop and TV are connected to same wifi network.Tried connecting through 'project' option in laptop . when clicked on add device, it finds TV and when clicked on connect it shows connecting. TV also finds laptop and asks permission to 'accept'.when that also accepted ,it shows 'connecting' and after a while it show some error message - 'connection failed due to some problem'.
Other brand laptops connects without any problem.

Wifi connection is very slow on my laptop but it works perfectly well on other laptop and mobile .
I am Using HP -Pavillion 15-n010tx with windows 10(64-bit) .My wifi connection with Netgear router is very slow(almost 1/4th of actual speed ) on this laptop while with same router on other laptop/mobile at same time gives proper speed .To resove this,I uninstalled som eof the application which was not much of use .I did IP reset,DNS flush,Disabled the location , have reset the laptop but nothing has halped me so far .I am It was working properly but sudenly I started facing this weird problem .What should I do to slove this issue ? Any help ?

weak signal and suddenly dropping wifi connection its been fine
everything has been working fine for the 3 months ive had new address,then in my room i have dropped signal no connection come in living room and unplugged tower got signal in living room but its very weak and dropps in my room still thanks

I got this email and phoned up have I done the right thing I wonder as they tried to sell me various solutions. I hope they havent planted something nasty on my pc.

What is a good Bluetooth Wi-Fi card that I can use for my laptop?
I was recently searching for the reason my Bluetooth wouldn't work and discovered I needed a dongle. Then whole searching I read a forum that you can get a Bluetooth Wi-Fi card that can make your Wi-Fi signal better. I really need it bc whenever my laptop is connected and I'm on the internet it acts like it does not want to load. So what is a good/cheap card that I can use for both?

WIFI unable to locate router if more than 20 feet away
I have an HP Laptop 15 purchased about 3 months ago. It's running Windows 10 Home.
Since the day I purchased it, it cannot locate or connect to my Netgear router in a room 20 feet away, with no obstructions. If near the router (with 20 feet) it works fine. Other WIFI devices have no problem locating the router at that distance and further away.
Ironically, this laptop is replacing a 2015 version of the same laptop replaced due to water damage, and that older laptop had no problem connecting to the router, even at distances up to 50 feet away.
I even purchased a new, more powerful, Netgear Nighthawk AC1900 router, which made no difference; the laptop was still unable to locate the router when more than 20 feet away.
This has required me to purchase a Netgear Range Extender, which was not needed with the older unit.
Could there be a problem with the settings, antenna, etc and, if so, what is the fix?

Cannot access NAS or open wifi
I've had my HP notebook for about a month. I've yet to be able to access other computers on my wireless network nor any of my NAS devices. I did an in-place upgrade from Win7 Home Premium to Win10 Home on my former laptop and it could connect and access both my Win7 and OSX computers and access, open, copy, delete, view, etc the files on all of my NAS devices. Even my "smart TV" could access the files on the network. If I double click on the "This Computer" 2 of the 3 NAS devices appear. I can double click on the NAS icons but instead of opening the folders as named on the NAS drives (i. e., Public, Time Machine Backup, Smartware} the folders are name by content type. If I try to access the NAS drives via the Network icon, all three NAS appear but double clicking on any of the icons opens their respective web pages instead of the folders as the Win7, upgraded Win7 to Win10 and OSX boxes do.
When I try to access another computer I get this message:

The network is not present or not started.

The upgraded laptop, OSX laptop and even an old Toshiba netbook have no problems seeing the other machine.
And lastly, at a meeting today I tried to connect to an open wi-fi network. The required acknowledgement page never opened. It did open for my LG phone, Kindle Fire, and about a half dozen other laptops, tablets,and macbooks.
So what's going on?

Reduced network speed
HI!
I have a problem with my network connection speed. My laptop on wifi always display a 1/4 of total amount of speed delivered by ISP. In the same network two computers show different connection speed.(e.g.second computer lenovo y50 shows almost the 80%) I have this problem with each network e.g. in my home, office. I tried to update and reinstall my network card drivers and set up a simple configuration. On the ethernet speed tests show a 1/2 amount of speed. Is it possible that my network card needs replace or my configuration needs fixing? Support Assistance don't shows any problems.
My network card: broadcom bcm 43142
Addition: Computer is no under warranty

No Wi-Fi avalible?
Opened up my computer one day to no internet access, thought my internet was so I checked and it wasn't. Turns out I no longer have a Wi-Fi option? The only way I can get onto the internet is via an Ethernet cable. I can't search for it in Windows, and the icon on my task bar is completely gone. Am I stuck using the cable for the rest of the time I have this computer or is there any way I can get the icon back?
