hpdm4 3010tx wifi limited access

I have an HP dm4 3010tx

. I am running windows 7 - 64 bit. frequencly the wifi is showing to "LIMITED ACCESS" and Internet is not working. I tried to disconnect and reconnect but windows trobleshooter screen appears, if i select to do trobleshoot then system is getting hanged and each time i need to restart the system to restore the system back and wifi working propely. This issues happens many times a day.

 

I called hp support they said to update drives and restore os from backup no luck even i tried installing new os with recover dc to factory setting but still the issues is same. I dont know what happened to it

 

Its some thing realted to drives I know, beause same wifi router is working well in many other system and mobiles

My laptop is saying no wireless connections available, when they are available.  I updaded the system, and still nothing.  It Was working yesterday, then stopped, then last night started working again, and then this morning not working.

Hi there,

 

I just recently ordered the wireless/bluetooth adapater for my Envy Touchsmart 17 notebook PC. I just need to know how to install it. I've done this before on a very old dell laptop some years ago but I want to make sure I don't mess with anything incorrectly.

 

Are there any illustrations or videos to guide me? Thanks in advance for your time and help.

yes i to have the 

HP Pavilion 15-ab100nd and ever sice day one about a year ago my internet dissconects i play games such as csgo,garrysmod .etc and im am very anoyed with this i cant do anyhting every 5 minutes it crashes and i cant do anything about it but quickly joining back to the internet please help.

WiFi ridiculously slow on new laptop

Hi,

 

I got a new HP Envy 13" laptop (with B&O speakers) about a month ago. In the past few days the WiFi has become very slow. I have Sky Broadband and I don't think that is the problem, as other devices are working fine. A speed test revealed download speeds of 0.15mb/s...

 

It is so bad I can hardly watch videos on youtube or iplayer.

What could be the problem?

Envy 17 Wireless not working Adapter not found

I have an  Envy  Model G6U47UA#ABL.   The wireless connection suddenly stopped working.  When I look at the list of devices I no longer see the wire adapter, only the Realtech PCIe GBE Family controller. The Wired connection works fine

 

The F12 button to toggle airplane, shows on sceen but the wireless indicator on the button never lights up

 

I have tried to download new dirvers for the wireless adapter.  no change

I have done a hard reset on the system - no change

 

Is there anything else I can check before I send this back for warranty repair

Slow, slow wifi

Hi,

 

I got a new HP Envy 13" laptop (wiyh B&O speakers) about a month ago. It has worked fine until a few days ago when the WiFi became very very slow. I don't think the Sky Broadband is the problem as other devices are working OK. 

 

It is so slow i can hardly watch videos on Youtube or BBC iPlayer. What on my laptop could be causing this?

 

(I uninstalled iTunes, Skype and McAffee to see if that would help but it hasn't.)

hp 14 wireless light does not turn on

I tried upgrading from 8.1 to 10. What a disaster! I ran into multiple issues. Called MS Win10 Upgrade Support. To every issue I raised, they said, "Yes, that is a known issue with Windows 10. We are working on it." So I reverted to 8.1. Everything's back, except: My wireless toggle button works fine to control wireless, but its light doesn't turn on. To see whether wireless is on or not, I have to scroll down to the taskbar. Most annoying.

 

I tried deleting the Wireless Button Driver and reinstalling. Didn't work.

So I shut the machine and disconnected from AC & battery, held down the power button 30 seconds, reset the BIOS to defaults, updated the BIOS driver. And still have the same problem.

 

Any ideas? Thank you!

Touch smart won't connect to internet (wirelessly or directly)

PLEASE HELP! I have an HP IQ506 Touch smart running on Vista and I can't get it to connect to the Internet anymore. I tried wirelessly and directly and neither works. It use to work fine but now the computer says it's connected (with good signal strength) but when I go to Internet it says page cannot be displayed. I connect wirelessly with like 15 other devices just fine (laptops, tablets, cell phones, tvs, etc) but won't work with my PC. The PC is right next to the modem so distance and interference is not the problem. Please help me.

Spectre 360 Network Adapter Hang, Driver Power State Failure, Machine Hangs

I have a brand new HP Spectre 360, Windows 10 Pro that was experiencing all of these issues:

 

- Wireless Network Adaptor would hang every hour or so and I'd loose wireless connectivity.

- When this happened, my machine would hang on restart, with DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE error.

- Machine hung and restarted without warning several times a day.

 

 All drivers were updated, as was my BIOS.

 

 I called HP support and got the usual poor level of support:

 

- Phone system irritates you and then hangs up on you.

- Support techs don't understand American English.

- Support techs are completely clueless, will always recommend a factory reset rather than troubleshooting a problem.

 

 Anyways, I surfed Google, and finally found a solution that cleared all of the above problems:

 

  1. Right-mouse click networking icon in system tray and select "Open Network & Sharing Center."

 

  1. Click "change adaptor settings" link to the left of the Network and Sharing Center screen.

 

  1. Right-Mouse Click WiFi Adaptor.

 

  1. In the Networking (only) tab, de-select "Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6).

 

  1. Click Okay.

 

 It's been a few days, and my frequency of issues has dropped from hourly to none at all.   Hopefully this fix will work for you.

wi-di was good on win7, not on update win10, not on "go back" win 7

OK guys, this maybe the wrong forum, here goes. Thanks in advance.

 

Wi-Di was good on original install of win7pro 64-bit.

On Xmas weekend 2015, about a month ago, I updated this laptop to win10.

A few days ago I needed to use the Wi-Di feature. It was gone.

I performed a "go back" to win 7, as less than a month had passed, just less than a month.

Immediately after the go back, Wi-Di was still missing. Wi-Fi has always worked.

 

After doing many driver changes, wireless proset changes and widi software changes, nada.

It is still complaining that the platform isn't compatible &/or other messages of "you can't do that".

So......I am thinking about uninstalling all of the related software & drivers and starting this part over.

 

But did the win10 update change something else that I am missing, which causes this behavior??

 

Has anyone had a similar issue and maybe a fix?

WiFi Connectivity Issues

I have been using Win 10 for months now with no issues; last week, my computer did an update for Windows 10 (64-bit). Since then, I cannot stay connected to my home WiFi network. I have been scouring forums on the internet to find a solution to this issue, and have tried EVERY recommended solution, to no avail! I have changed the power setting for my wifi adapter; uninstalled and reinstalled the wifi driver - multiple times; updated said driver - again, multiple times; done the reg delete HKCR\CLSID; and even done an ip reset afew times. Nothing has solved my specific connectivity issue; troubleshoot has found and fixed errors a few times, but usually can't find the problem.
One of the issues I got was : Windows couldn't automatically bind the IP protocol stack to the network
adapter.

To reconnect, I usually have to power down and reboot the whole system. This has been exasperating! Since signing up and attempting to post on this forum, I have had to power down and reboot three times. Somebody please HELP!!!

i recently bought a new envy 15 about a week ago. My wifi was working fine untill yesterday. when i go on the internet it comes up no internet when it shows im connected to it by the bars on the taskbar. it sometimes connects like right now but most of the time it dosent. i've tried everything from restarting the computer to restarting the router but nother seems to work. 

any help

Notebook P1E76EA wifi connection issues

Hello there,

 

I bought this new Notebook P1E76EA a few weeks back and it's been working pretty fine until yesterday. For some unknown reason it suddenly stopped connecting to all my networks. Both at work and at home. I've tried a few solutions but none seem to work. I've tried everything on this post http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Wireless-and-Networking/Laptop-won-t-connect-to-wireless-network/td-p/2972555 and I haven't been able to get it back to working.

 

I would really appreciate any help since I can't do anything without my laptop. All my work has been stalled because of this.
