Internet connection missing?

Hi all.

I've been dealing with a problem over these past couple of hours. Let me explain the situation:

I went on vacation 2 months ago and I closed my router. I came back yesterday and as soon as I opened a flashing red light was below LOS and a flashing green light was under WLAN or WPS , I assumed that my internet connection finished during that time so I went to my local internet provider and I rejuiced my internet connection. Apon my arrival I noticed it still didn't work, I decided to reset it as soon as i reset it, I noticed my internet name came with a different name. (I think it reset completely it was also without a password) I was tinkering around with the settings and I completely forgot about typing in my internet's ip adress. So whie I was tinkering I clicked properties and I went to sharing; I ticked ''allow other network users to connect through this computer's connection. '' And I connected it to wireless network 2.

As soon as I did that, that connection was gone and the flashing green light under WLAN or WPS was gone. I looked in the connections categories and I found it gone from there as well. I wanted to find ways on how i can enable the green light and make that internet connection appear, but I haven't found a way.  I've tried system restore and it still does not work. If any of you are wondering how Im typing this; well I have a super slow back up modem that has 3 days before it finishes so Im using it during the meantime.

I've tried using an ethernet cable and typing in the ip adress it still doesn't work.

Does anyone have experience with this issue? If so can you please tell me how I can solve it?

My laptop is HP pavilion g6, windows 7.

Thanks for reading and I look forward to your replies :D
