Hi. Does anyone have any advice for the following?
I have a g6 Pavillion laptop with a Ralink RT5390 b/g/n wifi card. It works fine with my Linksys WRT54G and GS DD-WRT routers. I recently got a new Linksys EA2700 with v1.0 of the Linksys firmware.
The laptop again works fine with the Linksys EA2700 as long as it is in WPA2 with mixed mode on 2.4Ghz. It shows as connected at 54 Mbps ... which is g mode.
Any ideas on why it wont connect at the higher speed n mode? It is only 5 metres away and shows an excellent signal strength. When I change the EA2700 from mixed mode to N mode... The HP error message simply says... unable to connect... all the diagsnostics find nothing. I have a Samsung wifi equipped phone and it has no trouble connecting in n mode to the same EA2700 router.
The laptop shows the RALINK RT5390 as having version 3.2.13.0 in the add/remove programs section. The device driver shows device driver 5.0.9.0 dated 11/27/2012
Many thanks if anyone can comment.
