wireless not even visible?

Good afternoon all.

I have purchased an HP tx1327cl convertible, and it's running Win7Ultimate.

As to new software that I would've installed.... I'd just purchased it 3 months earlier, and was installing everything-- programming languages, various tools that I had on previous computers, Epson print software suite, games, etc....

It was working fine, and I then began noticing that the HP wireless asst would open a small popup window stating it was either on, or off occasionally. It was then that I began realizing that I'd inadvertently be moving the wireless button on the front right side of the machine.

About 7-8 weeks ago (I've been trying to find a solution in the interim) the wireless just stopped working, and I can't even find it on my device mgr, the hp wireless asst doesn't open when I go to click on it, then when I can find another program that it does recognize, the program would say that the wireless was inactive. I have done everything I can think of, and am now at a loss.

I've purchased a replacement wireless card-- AS#: 418572-001, SPS#: 441090-001. It appears to be made in China, so I found one on Ebay, from a seller in China, but those two #'s from above appear different-- AS# 418564-002, SPS-441075-002. Also, I see an Eng rev # below. The card out of my machine is Eng Rev 5.4, and the new ones are Eng Rev. 7.5.

I've checked the numbers online, and they say they will work for this machine-- tx1327cl.

They however are not working.

I had called the individual I'd bought it from and they told me that the wireless for this machine is on the video card, on the motherboard.

Yet, when I look at the configuration it appears to be on the underside, with its own little replacement space.

Help.... please. Thankfully I have a really long rj45 network cable, but this is still really limiting me-- a lot. If I've missed something, you have questions, etc.... please ask.
