Hi everyone, new here, have had a look through the forum, but am struggling to find an answer, sorry.
I have a HP Pavilion G6 2212sa bought from PC World around 6months ago, worked fine at first, then the wifi started dipping in and out, we have Internet issues as it is, but everyone else was working fine in the home (laptops, tablets and phones). I turned everyone else off and i still had the issues. I dug out my 8YEAR old Acer and it had no connection issued at all!!!
So i phoned the helpline and was advised to make sure my adapter (Ralink RT5390R 802.11bgn Wi-Fi Adapter) was up to date, and it was, i was then told to change my roaming sensitivity from 3 (medium) to 4 (low). This seemed to solve the issue for a while, and yet here i am again with the same issue! I ran through the same things i was told to do last time, yet to no avail! It really is beyond a joke, short of my putting my laptop on top of the homehub, it continues to dip in and out of connectivity! I also changed the setting that turns the adaptor off when the battery is low, and that changed nothing. ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT THANKS!!! Charlie
